Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Momella Gate – Miriakamba Hut (2,514m)
After breakfast, drive to Arusha National Park and complete park formalities at Momella Gate. Begin the trek through montane forest, spotting wildlife such as giraffes, buffalos, and colobus monkeys along the way. Enjoy scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro before arriving at Miriakamba Hut for dinner and overnight.
Day 02: Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut (3,570m)
After breakfast, continue your ascent through beautiful forest and moorland. Enjoy views of the Meru Crater and Ash Cone as you approach Saddle Hut. After lunch and rest, hike to Little Meru (3,820m) for acclimatization and stunning panoramic views before returning to the hut for dinner and overnight.
Day 03: Saddle Hut – Socialist Peak (4,566m) – Momella Gate
Start your summit attempt around 2:00 am, ascending steeply to Rhino Point (3,800m) and Cobra Point (4,350m). Reach Socialist Peak in time for a spectacular sunrise over Mount Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift Valley. Descend back to Saddle Hut for brunch, then continue down to Momella Gate where a vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to Arusha or Moshi.
